I like the second image best, as it captures the pace of the quad bike while still freezing the main subject. Nice use of slower shutter.

Agree. nice panning and slow shutter speed shots. 2 is the better one.

As you have found, panning is easier said than done. It takes practice and these are pretty good.

thanks for the comments... I like the effects of the grass in the 1st one but agree the 2nd looks like he's going fast(er).
