"Chemical" processing- three different levels
Posted by clawhammer, 11-08-2008, 08:35 PM clawhammer is offline

I was driving out through the western deserts of Utah and got this shot. This is near the Dugway Proving Grounds- America's chemical warfare playground. In 1968, a nerve gas test went awry and killed over 6000 sheep in a nearby valley (and no one really knows how it affected any humans in the area, though none died immediately).

The original image was nothing special, but on a whim I started playing around with the contrast and saturation. The results kinda reminded me of nerve gas- what it would do to you or whatever.

Anyways, I did three different versions- which do you guys like best?

Comments and criticisms welcome.

I like the colour versions. Tough choice, but #3 for me, although I'd like to see the sky of the 1st colour with the ground of the 2nd colour.

I really like the first two but the third one is a bit over-the-top for my taste. The B&W version would be my fav out of those 3 choices.
