| They're all lit by sodium vapor street lamps, A50/1.7@1.7, ISO 1600, handheld, 1/10s to 1/20s. A moderate fog drifted through that night giving everything a light patina of condensation. The street lamps give everything a desaturated look. I brought up the black levels and contrast curve quite a bit to drown out the noise; ISO 1600 has been fine for me in ordinary use, but on near-blacks it looks awful. I'm tempted to print a series of the first one just to learn how much comes through on glossy paper as compared to this backlit screen.
Thank you everyone for the thoughts. |
