Brilliant series.
Number 5 really stands out for me.
What lens were you using?

Thanks Mickey,
Most if not all with DA300mm and the 1.7xafa, I have used a tamron 300mm f2.8, but not much since I got the DA*

Wow all I can say is the original Sushi . Not to highjack this thread but if you get a chance check out You Tube and seach for 'eagle and goat' - some stunning footage of an Eagle and what became 'dinner'.

Nice sushi action...

Great series Tom! #2 is great lighting. Regarding #3: are those poles in the OOF background and how much of a crop on that shot? I am asking because that was a great capture, and could go one better by cloning them out... thoughts?

Regards,
Marc

Thanks Marc, Yeah I was going to try to get rid of the poles before I print that one, just been busy with my son home from college for the weekend I cropped it down a little and have 7.6 MP to play with so it should print up nicely if I don't botch up the cloning. My son gave me a copy of elements he got free and though I don't like it the healing brush tool seems to work pretty good for me when there is a complex area with a branch or bag or trash to clone out. I'll try it after I run him back to school.

Hey Tom, how many juveniles are there where you are shooting? I noticed several in the shots, but I was also curious as to their behavior, being younger birds...
