Replying to a response in my "introduction" post, I thought I'd post a few pics of our place in the Noosa Hinterland. That's in S E Queensland, Australia

I'm looking forward to some pics from the area.
Regards,
Please note that these were NOT taken with a Pentax, they were taken with a Canon A 720IS P&S. Perhaps they are as good an argument for a DSLR as you're likely to find. But WTH, here they are anyway.
I was thinking of getting a K200D, but now I find that this model is discontinued. It would seem that my choices are to get a K20D or wait for the upgrade whenever it shows up next year.
Anyway, here are the pics.
First, a part of the "garden" we haven't got around to yet. All pics taken late in the afternoon. This one was at 800 ISO. Not bad I thought:
Looking down from the house towards the dam (pond). Temperature peaked at 34 C (about 93F) today with pretty high humidity. Hence the "sweat equity"
180 degree change of viewpoint. The shed is one of two on the property. This one is the small one when the garden implements live. The big one is out of shot behind the house.
Our bird feeder/waterer. This is VERY popular with the local feathered critters. We can easily have 25-30 birds of many different species around here in the late afternoon.
Finally, a shot of our latest project. Mulch down, not many plants

. I'm going to be doing some propagating so we will be rectifying that before our summer is over
As I said, all these were taken with a Canon P&S and there's only so much you can ask a P&S to do. I'm increasingly feeling the lack of a better tool. Hope to be "graduating" to a DSLR soon.
