Fun with Water
Posted by Mechan1k, 12-16-2008, 10:18 AM Mechan1k is offline

Here's a few shots taken of my niece playing at a wading pool with a cup.
Shots came out better than I was expecting ... and the effect of the water actually makes these shots kinda fun.

Was shot in the middle of the day ... was a bright day as well.

K10D and Tamron 90mm macro.

Thanks guys ... originally I didn't think much of the shots ... as I was more interested in the other B'day shots of my other niece ... but i revisited this series from that day and found these to be compelling.

I love my Tamron 90mm macro lens ... it produces nice images everytime i use it without fail ... I'll be posting another shot of my niece (that lives with us) on the trampoline ... shot with my Tamron (I just need to convert it from PEF to JPG though when i get a chance).

Too cute! I like the way the water is forming an arc over head.

Great shots Simon I love the freeze frame water. Who needs an X-box360 or PSIII when you have a pool and a cup ! (and not to mention great weather).

Dave ... kids are entertaining to watch as it is ... but my niece loved throwing the water out of the wading pool everywhere ... it was a hot day and she didn't want to get in ... just throw it out.

Kids get the most out of the most simplest and cheapest of toys ... there's no need to spend hundreds of $$$$ on them in hindsight really.

Great shots, really wonderful. Nothing makes my granddaughter happier than a plastic watering can and an infinitely patient adult to dispense the water.
