I have slowly been buying basic studio stuff on the cheap, when the occasion warranted, and my last purchase was one of those foldable 7'x5' two-sided backdrops (black and white). This morning I had a chance to play hookie from work for an hour or so, so I gave it a quick run. The basic setup was my two 540s, one low on a small tripod with a stofen, the other high though a white umbrella, operated P-TTL wirelessly with the camera flash as a controller. The subject is a Songye mask, from the Congo, which has lovely lines and a great texture. I used my 20D with an FA50 1.4.
