DA* 50-135mm and Central Park

This is my first attempt to post photos here, so hopefully all goes well. The other day it was unseasonably warm in the NYC area, and I was going to be up around Central Park, so I decided to break out my k200 and my relatively new 50-135 to take the lens out on its first real outing.

There's a garden in Central Park around 105th Street and 5th Avenue that turned out to be a pretty cool setting. I have enough photos for probably two posts, but here are the first few photos. These are all straight from the camera, no post-processing. And the last photograph below is from the Tamron 17-50 2.8 that I also had with me. Any comments good and bad would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for chiming in. I must say, that the 50-135 is one amazing lens. I have learned a lot from forums like this and from trial and error, but a lens like the 50-135mm has truly allowed me to elevate what I am capable of. Do try and pick one up if you can.

I know many people here only shoot RAW, but I simply don't have enough time to post-process all of my photos between work and family obligations. So JPEG simply works better for me, and I am still pleased with the results. If anyone is curious, these were shot with the highest quality JPEG settings, in Natural mode--saturation and hue at 0, and sharpness and contrast at +1.

I think f2.8 was a little too large an aperture for the first few. In the first one for example, it's hard to see where your focus is. They actually came out better than I would have expected though and I think they just need a little sharpening.
