Nice capture of a beautiful boy. I don't think the large amount of white space is adding anything to the image though. I would crop it tight. I think it would improve the impact.

Handsome boy and nice catch. The skin tone looks a little bit yellow to me. Maybe the white balance issue.

I agree with Laree, the extra white space on that image takes the imapct out of the pic

You have done it well. There seems to be a colour cast of yellow there. I do not mind it but find it a little strong.

Good second image. It is funny how that white border blends into the frame and makes your image look huge horizontally.

Yes version II works much better. Although I didn't mind the crop of the 1st, just the yellow tint to the skin.

Actually the background is a white tablecloth and the light was natural light reflected from a silver reflector onto the tablecloth. The other lighting was from a gold reflector (hence the yellowish cast - experimenting & learning) and flash bounced off a white ceiling.
