Mitsubish Magna - work mates car.

I have been using more and more of the "Takumar kit lens" of late.
Decided to take a few shots of the work colleagues car after he gave it a mini detail.

Next time I'll use the tripod (and polarizer) though and get some better shots ... these were just quick handhelds in the middle of the night (on my lunch break on nightshifts). I think i bumped up ISO a bit just get bring shutter speeds up as well.

If you are wondering what it is, it's a 2002 Mitsubish Magna VRX (sports model) ... it's similar to the Mitsubish Diamante (which is a the longer version ... which we known as the Mistubishi Verada here in Australia). Oh .. this is a factory colour as well ... it hasn't been resprayed.

manual K10D + 55mm f/1.8

great work

watch the reflections though, your first shot you have the bumper of a car that kind of kills it IMO

Gotta love those Mitso's.

I own 2 now, and I have owned 5 all told (Mirage, Gallant, Expo, Outlander, and Lancer).

I like the different POV's & the creamy bokeh. For quick shots, these are well done.

Hee hee ... I have a soft spot for the Magna VRX's .... my Mum had one in Yellow ... and it was yellow ... indeed a fun vehicle to drive ... very deceptive.

I noticed it later ... next time I'll use a Polarizer on the lens ... this will cut down those stray reflections and smooth it out more.

Our carpark flouro lighting is hell to shoot under as well ... next time I'll see if I can get the car outside in the outer carpark as the sun rises at dawn (end of nightshift) ... I think I'll have a better chance of getting it right .. and really bring the colour of this paint out.

Ray ... my wife used for have a Mirage (a 3 door hatch version) ... I know Mirage's in the US and actually sedan's and coupes (when know them as Lancers out here). I used fior have a Proton Satria hatch ... (based off a 93 Mitsu Mirage).

I used to be on the US Mirage forums for quite some time .. till I sold out of mine and went into larger vehicles.
