Sheriff, bakers daughter and old family picture

Hi all,

Haven't post any pictures lately. Being lazy of course. Time has gone in organizing photos (changed to Mac) and also going through old transparencies ...

Some pictures to share with a short story:

Two years ago we had it a business trip in Sweden. At the end of one day the hosts organized a really fun evening in near small town. They separated us in groups, which were supposed to solve a crime case in medieval time (an arson case). There was people dressed in old costumes etc. We had it go through a route and meet different people, interview them and try to solve the case.

I took few shots and following persons had some character. The first one is towns sheriff. In reality he is professor in university and also a rather good musician playing old instruments. He was really funny guy and it is easy see that also students have good time with this teacher.

The second one is a bakers daughter and a girlfriend of accused arsonist. In real life she was a high school student. She was so natural young lady that I have to ask permission to take a picture. Judge by yourself ...

Last one is an old transparency (Kodachrome 50) taken 8 years ago in western part of Finland in a place called Rymättylä. We rented a cottage and had a lovely one week vacation there. One day I wondered that maybe we should take a 'family photo' ... a little bit different

I did it in army way (army drill). I ordered family-animals to line and gave orders. When I shouted GO, we started to pile in order of weight. We repeated this (maybe 30 times ... no kidding) few times. The goal was, in obvious reason, to get the pile in order in 10 seconds .... Here is the scanned result. As you see we had a few good laughs

First I named this as 'Pile of flesh/fat', but the better one is 'Pile of love'

Cheers,

Kurt, you have some great shots here. The last one is very good. You changed glasses in the last decade?

Thanks Rense! I think 10 years is a decent timeframe to change the style

The sheriff and the baker's daughter sounds like the start of a shaggy dog story or something out of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Beautiful photos that really bring out the joy of being human and alive and full of energy. Lovely.

Yap, it was the sheriff (triangle drama).

I have that family photo hanging on wall and on my desk at office. Looking the image makes you smiling.
The scan is not good. I have not yet found a good solution for scanning old transparencies.

Thanks for looking. Take care!
