Balancing in the street
Posted by Rense, 02-11-2009, 10:36 AM Rense is offline

I shot these on Monday, at the end of the day, at a crossroad in the centre of the city. Mounted was my Meyer Orestor 135mm f/2 @ f/4 130-1/90, ISO200-400.

C&C welcome, as allways....

Nice series. I very much like the second in particular. It has a Europena ambience (ha, ha, I know you are Europe!) And the BW is good a choice because, as you undoubtedly have noticed, it greatly reduces visual clutter.

Great shots Rense. Hard to decide which one I like the best... it's a toss up between #1 and #2. All are really well done though

Thanks redpigeons! I think I agree on the contrast issue. Usually I add quite a bit contrast to B/W shots (see the Man at Work thread for instance), but I think I was too much in a hurry to do it here too....

Thanks Georg, you shed a new light on it, I did not really realise that!

Thanks. It even has a Dutch ambience, because the ad bord left is an ad for cheese

Thanks maritimer for your kind words. I myself like #2 best, I think....
