First flowers of...... winter?

And my first macro-ish shots to boot.

I don't normaly shoot flowers, but this the first color I've seen since I got my K200d, so it had to be done. Don't expect any more like these from me though

These are straight from the camera JPEGs shot with a SMC-M Macro f/4 100mm at f/6.7 otherwise the exif is there. I have a few other shots that I thought would be better w/ some PP, but have been ordered to wait till my shutter count reaches 9001 before I PP anything and I'll stick to that.

I know they're a little -ex, but thought the colors were much deeper than the lighter shots. Any input is appreciated.

Aww, those are beautiful. Soft and dreamy. A bit underexposed though, don't you think?

Two very nice shots on their own but both would benefit from some PP. No PP until 9001 count? I don't get it because almost all images need some sort of PP.

Thanks and absolutely, but the color seems to jump out a bit more in these than those that are more properly exposed. And those are pretty true to how the light actualy was when I took them.

The thinking with waiting to PP is that I'd rather work on building better composition and exposure skills and get those dialed in before devoting more time to learn to PP well. And at the end of the day, a good shot to begin with shouldn't need all that much PP. For me personaly it has more to do with composition and lighting than anything else.

Here's one a little closer to right, but I think it might be a half stop over.

And thanks to everyone else for the kind words....
