2 candid, natural light portraits
Posted by RBellavance, 02-27-2009, 09:14 AM RBellavance is offline

Here are two candid portraits I made recently during week-end in a cottage with friends (a now yearly "tradition" during which I wear my camera almost all the time - everyone's used to it by now).

Both were taken in natural light with my K10D and the FA77. I "made" myself use this lens for a few days because it is not a focal length I reach for "naturally". Conclusion: the more I use it the more I like (love?) it

1. My youngest son

f/1.8, ISO 400, 1/125s

2. A friend's son in full concentration

f/1.8, ISO 400, 1/60s

Nicely captured. You need to use that lens more often.

2 Great portraits with strengh. The pic of your son is very nice, with his funny, natural and tender expression. Congratulations!

Great shots of your family.
Isn't it good when they actually sit still for a minute or two?
