Pentax Demo day (DA 60-250/f4, DA 55/f1.4, AF 160FC)

SRS Microsystems UK had arranged for a Pentax Open day at their Watford branch. I realised it this morning and rushed to try my hands on their new toys.

There were many gadgets including sports optics and Pentax staff were present to assist us. I tried out DA 60-250/f4, DA 55/f1.4 & AF 160FC ring flash. It was very crowded with very eager people wanting to try them, hence to be fair to all, did not test very extensively.

Some shots below

DA 55/1.4 shot wide open -- (1/30, f1.4, ISO 200)

DA 60-250/f4 -- (250mm, 1/100, f4.0, ISO 200)

DA 60-250/f4 -- (68mm, 1/100, f8.0, ISO 1600)

SRS are taking £20 deposits for DA60-250/f4 lens (expected price to be betwen £800 & £900) and they are expecting it to be available in April. Quite liked this lens, but it had a very hard zoom ring. DA 55/1.4 and Ring Flash are already on sale at SRS.

When enquired, Pentax staff had no clue about PMA.

Cheers
