"Butterflies go free" is a yearly exposition in the Montréal Botanical Gardens, where hundreds of butterflies are allowed to roam freely in a greenhouse. As ve2fd already mentioned, a small group of Montréal Pentaxians used the opportunity for a short get-together.
Here are the shots I liked best among those I took. All were taken with a K10D and Vivitar Series 1 105mm f/2.5 macro lens. For the first three, I also used a Sigma EF-500 DG SUPER flash with a Gary Fong Lightsphere II "Clear".

Good shots Richard! I especially like the 3 and 4. That Vivitar certainly delivers the goods. Photographing in these conditions was relatively difficult as there was a *lot* of photographer with about almost every imaginable camera in existence, even some old weird film cameras. During that session, I took about 200-250 shots. A lot of of them (>80%) were blurry or OOF. Such is live with macro, especially indoor (I was often at ISO 1600-2500 to try to get the required 1/125s with my D-FA 100mm). I didn't use the flash much and used the DA10-17 for a few shots, leaving most of the work for the D-FA 100. Tripods and monopods were of course banned.
