Spring break trip. (5 pics)
Posted by dws1117, 03-23-2009, 06:07 PM dws1117 is offline

Just a few from our spring break trip to our family land in east Texas.

tried for 3 days to get a decent shot of her coming out of the nest box. This was the best I could get.

My sad attempt at a sunset shot. from the back porch of the vacation house looking across the pasture.

Couple of the kids being kids.

Thanks for looking. C&C appreciated.

Wayne nice series that little fellow in #1 looks like he was quick. I like the kid shots , love the expression on the young lads face. And hey that sunset is not so bad

Thanks, Dave. One day I'll get a sunset/rise shot that I'll satisfy me. The kids were being silly and shaking their booties for the camera. The first shot is a female eastern bluebird tending to her eggs.

This is her mate a male eastern bluebird.

I actually really like the way the first shot turned out - my favorite. The blurred bird is awesome. I take it you were trying to get it sharp, but I think it looks great this way.

She obviously knew you were there waiting for her to leave the box.

She was not cooperating at all. Maybe next time a nice worm bribe would help.

The bird looks nice against the background bokeh.

Kids seem to be filled with a lot of energy there.
