I love the bokeh with this lens, really nice for portraits. Have you tried this lens? Oh, and its a F1:4.5.

Hi Asad

Sure, Its a constant 4.5, push pull type, It has that wonderful smooth feel to both the zoom and the focus that these old lenses tend to have. Its big and heavy!! Its a forgotten gem in the Pentax lineup, superb for portraits. Sharp from wide open on. When I get some time I will send a photo for the lens section. cheers.

this lens is possibly the most unknown lens pentax made. my copy is great. there were however 2 versions of it. one very good, and one so-so. heavy??? far from it. pick up a 70-210 f4. that's heavy. also the vivitar S1 is also heavy.
you're right about it being sharp thru out.

its big and heavy

mine is big and heavy for a 200mm lens, compared to what they are nowadays. Mine must be one of the good ones , images are sublime, though just a lucky break as it was the second lens I have ever bought. I remember going to a camera club with a friend, took some portraits along taken with this lens and all wanted to know which lens I had used, I told them and then someone asked which aperture I had used, didn't have a clue what he was talking about!

nice shot,
The version 1 will focus to 1.6 ft, version 2 to 1.2 ft. version 1 is supposed to be preferred, I like mine too but since I found a real nice a70-210 f4 at a pawn shop I don't use it much. I like the smaller size but I have to use some guess-work with M lenses on my k10d
