All photos taken with K10D and Tamron 90mm. What do you think? How can i improve on it?

I like the effect very narrow DOF - Nicely done.

I personally find out of focus foregrounds to be distracting some times, especially if they occlude the main subject (as in the last image). I would be curious to see if you upped the DOF a little to improve the focus of the seeds closest to the camera. Something to try next time The others remind me of throwing those things at my brother and sticking them in his hair

Nice series. I quite like these photos, a bit more depth of field might help define some of the details of the foxtails, but it also might make the background bokeh less dreamy, and that's part of the look of these.

I like #2 - compositionally on this one, I would re-shoot to move the foxtail a bit to one side or the other and perhaps have it angled a bit more to make the image more dynamic... What I really like about #2 is the isolation of the subject with the very, very out of focus background, while there's still a hint of another foxtail in the background.

Now, to improve on those grasses, wait 'till they're a bit more dried out, then burn them before those foxtails can stick in my socks!

I was just in fact throwing those at my wife yesterday while telling her about throwing them at my brother . I think about 30% of my summer vacations were taken up with my brother and I throwing these foxtails at each other . Good times.
