Five blocks on Belmont with the 77 Limited
Posted by hamidlmt, 04-11-2009, 02:23 PM hamidlmt is offline

My five block stroll, going from my office to a friend's office.... this is in Portland, Oregon. All snapped with the K20D and FA 77mm 1.8 Limited

Little flowers on the side of my building

Everyone, remember where we parked the tricycle

Now this is what I am talking about. This is really nice work. It is amazing what is all around us if we just look. I am always looking for an excuse to walk, even if I don't have a cam with me, which is rare....

The only picture I would have left out is the second because that new car ruins it for me...

The couch picture is totally great!! as is the free books, though I would have focused on the fellow..But it works the way it is...Great street shooting!

Amazing what you can find right around the corner! Now that the weather is getting nicer, I'm going to have to start doing more street shooting.

That second pic... I was trying to show the contrast in transportation choices. If I wasn't in such a hurry, I would have gotten more of a closeup of the trike. There are so many funky bikes in town! Thanks for your thoughts!

The delivery bicycles are used for local deliveries in downtown Portland and the close-in areas just over the river. I talked to the drivers. They had just delivered one month of coffee to a local business. They try to promote using less gasoline.

Thanks! I find this type of shooting very relaxing... a great way to hone the eye to find something in the every day.
