My wife at Kucuk Aya Sofia in Istanbul, Turkey
Posted by Bactman, 04-21-2009, 09:25 AM Bactman is offline

My wife and I (as well as a good friend of ours) met up with Fragla (of this forum as well as pentaxturkey.com) during our vacation in Istanbul. Among the many places we visited was Kucuk Aya Sofia/Little Hagia Sofia or The Church of the Saints Serguis and Baccus. Built in the 6th Century, the church was converted into a mosque following the conquest of Constantinople.

Here is my wife in a 2nd floor window above the nave:

K20d, Tamron 28-75mm at F4, 1/20sec., 1600 ISO(!)

During processing, I found about 3 hot pixels - a first for me. I haven't seen them since and haven't done a pixel mapping yet.

I'll post one or two from other sites within Istanbul as time permits.

BTW - Big thanks to Fragla!

Nicely framed. Needs a little straightening out though. JIM

That's a very cool shot! Istanbul is one of my favorite cities in the world. I can't wait to go back there some day! I look forward to seeing more shots from your trip.

Nice shot and it's so cool to physically meet other people you have met online, especially sharing the same photography passions.
