Construction Site (5 images)

A couple photos from a construction site. Not exactly sure what's going on, but there was a stretch of a few kilometres where steel pipe piles were being driven and this was the storage area for the crane and some pieces of the piles. All shots with the DA* 16-50mm:

A steel ball from a crane, no idea what it's used for

The pile driver itself, put away on its side I guess

A mortar/concrete mixer. One can never have too much concrete apparently

One pile of rebar amongst many. Some was epoxy coated, I assume to prevent corrosion. Must be expensive

A brand new crane, I assume used to lift piles into place for driving.
The yellow thing middle left is the pile driver from the second photo above

2 and 4 are great. The yellow and blue contrast are great in 2 and I like the depth of field. Manhood at it's best!

Hey thanks! It was definitely a place I could go back to again and again to photograph. The postprocess on the first is a 50% desaturation, that's it I've got more to post from another site, some very strange metal tubes that were used with an auger to bore tunnels I think. I'll post a link once I get them uploaded.
