This guy was next to the trail on my walk this morning. I liked the color in his face and eye. This was taken with the K10D and DA55-300mm @ 300mm and minimum focusing distance. I think this shot shows how nice the front and back bokeh are with this lens, especially for a zoom. Cropped from 10 to 7 Mpixels. The only thing I miss about my Tamron 70-300mm is that it focused closer than the DA 55-300mm for shots like this.

Haha, you can fix those red eyes in LR easily!

Great shot, I like this one, especially for the DOF and the fabulous colours! Well done!

Ha! I actually thought that this better be something more than just a "how do I fix the read eyes in this picture". Great picture!!!! Nice colors an bokeh!

Thanks Tommy! Glad you took a look. We see a lot of these turtles this time of year, but this is the first one I've seen with that much color.
