The last couple of days I've been shooting the irises that have bloomed this year. The purple/yellow are new, the violet one is 3 or 4 years old and the dark purple was new last year.
All shots taken early morning (0630-0700) with a Tamron 28-75mm XR Di @ f/8, ISO 100 in AV mode. The first two obviously are crops, the 3rd & 4th are full frame.
First, a closeup of a bearded Earl of Essex (used a diffuser to block direct sunlight)

Next a darker bearded iris (direct sunlight, no diffuser)

And finally a purple iris with yellow highlights (again direct diffused sunlight)
and a closeup of the last bloom
