Great series. Its always interesting to see these sights through someone elses' eyes.

I haven't seen much of Zion, but have walked Bryce from back entrance to the top (visitor centre). Fantastic place.
I loved the locals comment that night back at our motel ...."its a helluva place to lose a cow"

Thanks for sharing.....any more?

Cheers
Grant

Nice series! Are the landscape shots in the first batch from Valley of Fire?

Thanks, Grant. That quote is supposedly by Ebenezer Bryce, whose backyard, essentially, became known as Bryce's Canyon, then Bryce Canyon.
Since you asked...oh, yes, I have more :-) 5 more of Zion.

really great pictures! I went to some of the places you went to recently and I really want to go back to that area to see places I didn't make time for, particularly to bryce and zion. thanks for adding to my motivation to get back there... looks to be a great vacation.

I was there 25 years ago. I might do a better scan of a couple old negs for comparison. I stayed 2 nights each in Z and BC, which was just about right. The weather, as you can see, was perfect. Even the arrival time, such as afternoon in the Valley of Fire, and golden hour in Las Vegas, worked out well. Knees are still a bit sore, but the blister-crater is coming along pretty well...

I'm looking at the Grand Canyon and environs map, now. Help me!
