First time shooting soccer! Coed League
Posted by codiac2600, 05-25-2009, 03:37 PM codiac2600 is offline

I've shot some sports here and there but yesterday I spent 2 hours shooting some coed league soccer at our towns bigger sports complex. Definitely a new experience as with american football it's easier to figure out where things are going, but with soccer it seems that anything can happen at any time and becomes very difficult to track from the sideline. Hopefully I'll build a faster response time to soccer as I'll be shooting this for the rest of the summer.

Let me know what you think!

Some very good shots especially for the first time at a football (soccer as you call it) match. I think my favourite of those is the last one.

You are right with football it is very quick flowing and the action can move from one end to the other quite quickly. I often find myself drooling over the shots I could have got if only I had been down the other end of the pitch.

Wow!! As a citizen from a country where soccer is the king of sports, i think is one of the most brilliant series i´ve seen here. Sharp, vivid colours, well framed. You different moments: the chat with the referee, the kick between the legs, the jumps... i feel envious becouse these must be mine. The one with the girl kicking the ball is my favourite. My sincere admiration

Very well done Chris!
As a parent with 2 boys growing up with soccer and having played the game all my youth, it is not difficult to understand the tactics of the game.
That makes us understanding better where the ball might go

You have potential and you know, here in Europe, professional soccer photographers make a good living for themselves..... So, maybe you should consider changing careers
