So I know a bit about photography (and I'm great with HDR and panoramic stitching), but I really haven't a clue what makes a "nice" IR image, or even a balanced Black & White. However, I've always liked IR photographs because they remind me just what "light" really is, and while I understand the concepts of gradations and zones and tonal distribution, I don't know how that plays out with IR. Any comments, hints, tips, or wisdom you can share would be greatly appreciated.
Finally, this was shot on a darn near perfectly clear day in the only daylight hour my family would let me out with my gear.

Next time I'll hold out for more clouds...
