are these water droplets or game pieces from the game "sorry"?
I was inspired by scguy's post where he did some awesome droplet shots with a makeshift setup. Here, I wanted to try to learn how to take water droplet pictures and then get a little creative.
Started out with this:
then tried (mostly unsuccessfully) to add some color with various household objects. Then found a translucent green childrens plate and was able to get some.
Lighting was an achiever 116a camera right with a kinetic trigger
Hope to improve the background and lighting in the future but this was fun to try! I cut holes in a plastic bag for the drip, hung that from a chair sitting on a dresser with a rock on top to hold it still, then used a glass baking pan with wax paper beneath (the wood looked like crap).
edit: forgot to mention tonight I tried the following lenses: SMC-A 50mm f/1.7, SMC-M 50mm f/2.0 (on a reversing ring) and an Albinar 70-300mm f/ 5.6. I think both of these were with the albinar and I must say, I think this is the worst pentax lens i've seen but it worked alright here!
