Fun with the cheap 85mm 1.4

A bit of fun with my Opteka 85mm 1.4 (manual focus, also known as Samyang or Vivitar 1), in our basement, ISO400-640. I basically wanted to try this manual focus in low light and with moving targets. Proved a lot harder than I feared. I took 100+ shots and more than 60 where so much out of focus as to be useless.

it really should be you wearing the sun glasses, to protect yourself from the bright viewfinder.

I have the vivitar version and love it because it is a "fun" lens

It is a fun lens - just like the nifty-fifty, just 70% more fun...

I'm yet to use it for a 'real' shoot - but the ability to seperate the background like that, has to be used for something.

But it's also a gateway drug... I want a FA* 85mm..
