2009 East Coast Pentaxian Gathering

Blackwater National Wildlife Refure, south of Cambridge, MD

Well we had a great time but I had to come home early to shoot a bicycle race thia afternoon. Here is a teaser photo.

On one of our walks we found ourselves confronted by a viscious wild traffic cone in full plumage. These are extremely dangerous yet Brendan managed to sooth it enough to get some nice closeups. Way to go Brendan!!!

For everyone who went, post some photos here in this thread...

Directions Anyone?

With classic intersections like this... one wonders how we ever found Blackwater!

Hey, you can't fool me, who is the skinny guy with the orange striped vest? And where are the rest of the venturers? Don't tell me they split and got lost on Andrews road!

I hear - even here in Texas - that there's a great bar on Andrews road, but no one seems to be able to find it.

Blackwater Perspective

Here are two shots from the Blackwater gathering... special thanks to my new buddy DM Dave for helping me with the white-balance and settings on my camera (I will leave off what body and lens I used for these shots!). Russ
