Thanks Scott. We have our share of rain for sure but I would rather have it than drought. This happened to be one of those days where it may be raining on one side of the road and sunshine on the other. I was trying to capture the entire vista. Wasn't too certain how it turned out until I used it as wallpaper on my desktop. Looks good there.

Totally agreeable

It's a must to have your gears close to you at all times

You won't know when the next magical moment is going to appear

To me, Photography preserves them and do away with regrets

Thanks for your comments! Now I would hate to guess the number of times I have either forgotten my camera or been constrained by regulations not to carry it that I have missed some awesome shots. Not to brag up my photot but it is essentially a simple snap shot out of the car window. A camera not carried is a photo not taken, a memory not preserved, beauty not shared.

I like this rain shot. We see a lot this type of photo in my area.

Do you guys see it rain in the front yard but not the backyard? We do here. One day I'll capture such a scene.

Thanks for the compliment! We don't get too many rain shots like the one I got due to the mountains. I live in Perry County, Pa and while our mountains aren't really tall there are a lot of them.

I look froward to seeing your rain shots. I really miss those sights like that. BTW, my Sigma 70-300mm Macro broke an aperture blade the other day.

Oh well, it's still under warranty so back for repairs it goes but now I don't have my big zoom. I treated it like a baby and still it failed.

Sorry to hear about your lens. Glad it's still under warranty and you can get it fixed for free.

It doesn't rain like that "back but not front" very often but once in awhile it does. I'll watch to see if I can catch it then.

Were I am there are not mountains. Where I used to live we had mountains and I miss them.
