Well, thanks to monochrome, I received a Vivitar series 1 105mm macro in the mail today. The lens is in superb condition, and well looked after. I headed out to try my luck looking for early flowering orchids nearby.

No luck, so set up on a scented sundew spp unknown. To my disgust the center column on my 190xprob tripod has a pronounced droop when in lateral mode. Bloody hard to frame up at 1:1 on a 105mm. Even with the clamp done up finger tight the column both rotates, and will slide through. Shot with remote on 3 second delay.

Seems to be doing some more shopping lately(Is the K7 on the way)
