Imagine my surprise to find that this DIGITAL image had garnered an invitation to a FILM group on Flickr:

Try to imagine the great self-restraint it took not to click the "OK, add it" button and see what sort of stink (if any) it roused among the film snobs. If I didn't already belong to that group I would probably do it just for sh*ts and giggles.

I also belong to that group under a different name.
There a number of non film shots posted there. I no longer shoot film, so mine are all digital.

Outstanding photo BTW. You should add it.

I posted a reply to the invitation asking if there was some special reason for inviting it. I figure I'll give the guy a day or two to either reply or not reply and then it is fair game if he doesn't.

I checked my Flickr stats today and noticed a sudden huge spike in views of this photo. I tracked the source down to a discussion thread on that group:

that has happened to me too, again just a few days ago.
turned out that the error happened because the person inviting had seen that it had been taken with a Takumar lens and he had been unawares that a Takumar can be used on a dSLR:
