Pentax K100d test
Posted By: kjask, 11-08-2006, 02:00 PM

Here are some test photos of K100d with DA 18-55 and DA 50-200, which I've made for one slovenian photo forum.
All photos are uncropped and without any postproduction. They are just resized and therefore sharpen a bit. Three photos were taken in JPG, all others in RAW and then converted in JPG with basic settings in Silkypix Developer 2. All crops are in original sizes. JPG compression is 97%. There is EXIF data under each photo.

I was very satisfited with dynamic range, great exposure metering and shake reduction. And I found that K100d has better picture quallity than my istDS.

Thanks, guys!

I will visit this beautiful place again next month. The Venice Carnival will be great for testing my new jewel, which arrived yesterday: FA77/1.8 limited!

Great photos.

What do you know about the picture with the Shanghai 'model' in the foreground and Los Angeles in the background. It looks interesting.

Venice?

Beautiful, don't you just love the K100D?

Like #3 & #4 of the museum. #1 is pretty darn good, too.

Looks like the models of Shanghai and L.A. are showing pop. density, how dense they are, and the densest areas, too. Shanghai has extremely high density in the city center, and lessens as you increase in distance, whereas L.A. doesn't really have one particular "center", rather its on a "beltway" of some sort. :ugh:

I like them all, but it's the first photo in the second series that does it for me.

Wow, I'm impressed with the dynamic range in #4 (2nd post). Nice shadow detail.

The K100 is an excellent tool.

Thanks. I've seen it somewhere before but did not recall exactly what it was or what the name was.

Again - GREAT pictures.
