You seem to have a knack with arranging your subjects, next challenge, lions.

Cute. I am working out a few like these and noting where I thought it was focused and then checking. the focusing screens I have put in help but they come with shims. I think I need to set some in and am doing the line up shots like yours to get it.

I am interested since is seems others have an easier time of focusing that I do.... Hard to tell. Do you remember in this shot... where you put the focus? at f/5.6 at 125mm there is a great potential range in what you thought was on and what actually came out. I am just asking since I am struggling with this.

- awesome - I have shots of fence lines that look like this (from focus testing), but I think birds would work better - I'll have to come down there for my next focus testing session...

I really enjoy these kind of shots, both viewing and taking them. This is a good one Grant.
Now all you need to do is figure out a level horizon test.

Oooppss, sorry Gary, did not check that!.
Metroloise, the focus point was actually pretty right, here's another one with a different point (focus was the 2nd bird)....and a straight horizon.

Yes I would have been so tempted to take a few shots and then yell very loud to get shots of them abandoning their perch all at once.

I like the original first image more than the reply second image.
