A Slice of Vermont
Posted by Jewelltrail, 09-02-2009, 11:48 AM Jewelltrail is offline

"Mossy Glenn," not to be confused with another beautiful Vermont falls (Moss Glenn).

Any comments or criticism are very welcome; I would like to get better at this.

Well, the right side is a bit dark, but that's still a beautiful shot. I think you nailed the water!

Well done.
A pretty waterfall to capture.
Perhaps a touch of HDR may be warranted here.
But still a good image.

Don't change a thing - I like the darkness on right, it feels natural. Very well done!

I find waterfalls very challenging. It is difficult to get the shutter speed just right, and that one is absolutely perfect. I think the darkness on the right ads depth that would be lost if you lightened it.

Feels so good to get all this positive feedback.

Sailor Looks close to perfect to me.

Jer
That is good enough for me then--I'll leave it alone.

Matthew Roberts love the way it bowls out at you
You know what? That describes the effect it has on me too--"bowls out." Never heard those words applied to a picture before--thank you for your analysis.

Parallax I find waterfalls very challenging. It is difficult to get the shutter speed just right, and that one is absolutely perfect. I think the darkness on the right ads depth that would be lost if you lightened it.
They sure do challenge me--it is great to hear from others who experience similar challenges.

Okay, youl have me persuaded--and thanks.

HDR, now there is some great advice--I need to venture into that land--thanks.

If you say the water is nailed, then that is most important to me.

THANK YOU, EVERYONE!
