Well, this was a biggie - riding the big bus - going to kindergarten - becoming a big boy, for sure.
He had a blast, got hugs from a bunch of his friends he made in pre-school, and barely noticed mom and grandma leaving the classroom to let the teacher take over. (which is how it should be - he was too busy exploring)
This is a kid who just loves life, I hope he retains most of that as he gets older!
(both with the DA40 Ltd, I think f/2.8 for both but I didn't really check to be honest, you just need to be fast with him, no time to double check anything)
Perfect. Both images express how you feel when your child first goes to kindergarten, primary school, middle school, high school, college, grad school, postdoc . . . .
Apologies for not responding earlier - I had a spur-of-the moment trip to PA to visit the family (pics coming, maybe tomorrow) and was offline since Friday.

Terrific images.

Thanks Jer, definitely a mix of emotions there on my end. Nothing but happiness for him!

Thanks Matthew. I really like the first one too... the second one, well at least he's not making one of his trademark "goofy faces..."

A little bit of both, Marc. He really has no worries, he's jumping, running, doing crazy dances or singing I think 90% of his waking moments, at least at home. Hopefully he's a tad quieter for his teachers, or else we'll be getting plenty of notes home!

I've been okay with it, my wife on the other hand...!

Of course, there is the other side, where some kids are terrified of being left at school until they get over it. But this series, exudes the joy of of being a kid. Well done.
