All great, especially the 1st one. Do you have a tighter cropped version of the 1st one? Less water at bottom, would give a nice pano look to it.

Random and remarkable, Mel. Everyone of these pictures is engaging. I'm a sucker for night shots (which I do poorly), so I'm particularly taken with the first one.

Thanks. But isn't that cheating? lol. Not sure if I have the clarity to really pull that off but I'll play with is if I run out of things to do.

Thanks. And it's a fluke really. Normally I go years between going anywhere. Unfortunately I'm kind of getting hooked on this whole getting out and about thing.

Thanks Jer. I don't get out for night shooting much around here so I really enjoy it when I can. So maybe I should do another thread of just the night shots? That could be fun.

Another fine set. But I really like No-3 and the concrete architecture juxtaposed against the brooding sky.

Great use of the lens-baby on the streetlamp shot Mel.

Thanks Mike. It's actually Brendan's Lensbaby Composer. He loaned it to me for the trip. I think that will be added to the list of lenses I "need." It's so so so much easier to use than my 2.0 it almost feels like cheating.

excellent series Mel. I envy your talent.

I support the cropped variant of the first photo. I had the same thought when I first saw it.

Well done, Mel! Haven't been to London since the summer of 1986. My family and I spent the last 3 weeks of our 2nd Germany tour in the UK. I know you and the hubby are enjoying your "freedom".

I took a quick peek around your gallery. You have no small amount of it yourself my friend.

And thanks. I haven't gotten around to playing with the cropped idea yet but I'm sure I will, maybe over the weekend.

Thanks and near? How near? I'm envious of anywone that's near. I could so make London my adoptive home town. If I could afford it. It's a pretty expensive place to live it seems.

Thank you. I did get lucky on skies here this time. It seems the last time I was there it was just all flat white blown out skies and nothing else. Also, the reason I like that image as well is because when I was there before, the building on the right (that's the National Gallery of Art on the left, Trafalgar Square) was covered in scaffolding.
