The wife and I went to our favorite place in the whole world for a get-away weekend to celebrate our anniversary...Lake Superior's North Shore (in Minnesota). It was fabulous! The weather was a balmy 60+, very unusual for the end of September! Even though there were TONS of leaf-watchers out and about, we had a blast. It was way too short! Wish we were still there. Oh well...life goes on. At least I got some pictures. I thought I'd post them for any comments or criticisms. Any takers?
Gorgeous Jeff.
You and yours have a beautiful haven to enjoy your yearly rendezvous (sorry, don't know how to pluralise the word).
Stunning captures, well done.
Thanks all! It was our happy 19th anniversary. Can't believe it's been that many years already!
JMR...you must go see. Lake Superior must be experienced. I've been to the ocean several times but nothing compares to the shores of the Great Lake. Funny you should mention the Group of Seven. My wife is an oil painter. Her work is a similar style.
Great shots Jeff.
Would the first two be from Grand Marais maybe?

(Another fan of the world's largest freshwater lake!)
Actually, they are of the navigation light in Two Harbors. The ore boats use it to round the bay into the docks. Good guess though. The Grand Marais light looks very similar...same direction and everything.
