NYC From Brooklyn Bridge Park
Posted by mel, 09-29-2009, 08:43 AM mel is offline

Okay trying out these new headings . . .

Taken from Brooklyn Bridge Park on my recent trip up for the DUMBO Arts Under the Bridge Fest.

Lastly, this is the same view of a shot I have in PPG. I was leaving and thought to grab this at the last minute. It's handheld, not a long exposure on a tripod. But I'm still kicking myself for not getting the tripod set back up as it would be cool to have the two shots together. Oh well. Guess I'll have to take another trip back up there. Bummer.

Great shots Mel, I really liked New York the one time I was there, these bring back some fond memories.

Thanks,

Thanks all! Yeah I have to agree on the 1 and 3 thing. But I had to throw in one of the Brooklyn Bridge as well. I love shooting in NYC. Such rich fodder for the camera.

These are superior shots Mel. You've done a great job with them and have avoided one of the things that I hate about most nighttime city shots... brown skys. These look very natural.

Yes, great shots. But I like 2 and 3 best because of the build up of light on the water. Makes the skyline come to life.

These are great!

I'll give some additional love to #4 - I like the sense of place conveyed in the shot.
