This morning, driven to the stoicism ultimately forced upon most old geezers, I traded my beloved Velocity Red Mazdaspeed MX-5 for a car more suited to my graying mane. Here are several shots hurriedly taken this afternoon of the new car (including residual bugs and bird dung acquired during the trip home from Houston and some subsequent aggressive motoring). I think this guy will be fun to photograph once I learn to deal with the color and to properly work the subtle (and not so subtle) curves of the sheet metal.
hey jer!! hate you !!! a bunch of us chartered a flight and will be there this afternoon to test drive ferd's car and then take a sunset cruise on yer boat.....
mazel tov on the new ride...... all the best.... need some pics of your grandaughter behind the wheel... i assume when she's 16, this will be hers?
You're now a proud Porsche owner as well as a proud Pentaxian.
Sounds like a sub-group to form, Jer...
Nice pics (and car) btw...
Hey thanks, Ash. I'm looking forward to doing some careful photographing of the car in a better setting.

Hey, Dave. Thanks buddy. The best part of the dream is playing with my granddaughter.
One positive side to this wretched economy is that you can get your hands on some pretty nice cars for less than you'd think.

What a beautiful car Jer. I may just have to head down there to take a ride in that beauty. I have a customer who has this car and interesting that you have to almost life the whole body off to change the oil. You old chemist did well. Cheers bud. JIM
Nice car, and I will look forward to some nice shots featuring it
IMO at least, this isn't really an 'older' persons car...
I can't wait to "pose" this car when we get into fall and perfect weather. I enjoy shooting pictures of my cars almost as much as driving them.

Hey JIM, come on down for a ride and a sail. As I said above, I'm anxious to get the car in the right setting and light and have some fun shooting.
I almost missed this thread, congrats on the new wheels Jer. Around here we call them glorified VWs, oh no that are the Audies oh never mind, enjoy the new ride, you worked for it all your life. Post some more pictures of it, I do love car pictures.
