The greenest car available today.
Nice captures.

Thanks Ash!

This may explain the title for those not so used to old Volvo cars: Volvo Amazon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Don't know what color this had originally.

You know, there are lichen even inside the Chernobyl reactor, so they can grow on anything.

Lovely old Volvo, and a limousine too, a particularly rare beast!

Its the right sort of age to actually have been beige from the start, but as its a limo, white would have been more likely.

Overall, it doesn't look that bad a nick, a few grand and a few weekends and that'll be fine!

Pretty sad old gal. I like the series though and the SAS limo sticker really stands out.

I'm really impressed with the paint job though. I see almost no rust anywhere.

I know the owner if you want to buy it?
They have an old Mercedes in similar shape, a bit less lichen, but it is growing.

We might be on to something here! Better take this to the patent registration office before anyone else does: lichen prevents rust! Finally a perfect way to prolong the life lengths of cars. Cover them in lichen from the start. It will be environmental also because the lichen will probably consume most dirt that attach to the car, so you wont have to wash it anymore!

Thanks daacon!
I didn't look. Haven't you still found him? I thought Jim Carrey found him in Bruce Almighty?! Or his dog.
Anyway, over here it would more likely be the contract killer that got Olof Palme (Swedish prime minister shot to death in 1986).

Lovely Douglas!

The colour? Maybe "kalifornia vit"

(an old swedish song about the Amazon went "A Volvo Amazon, with trims in chrome, california white...bla bla"

About the quality of the car: The body sheet metal in that car is THICK, realy THICK. So even though they rust (as most cars do) it is fairly eyasy to restore them. Theres alot of body to grind on. We have alot of restored Amazon'es in Sweden nowdays, getting popular.....again.
