#1 Something different
10-07-2009, 05:56 PM
Every once in a while I get a hankering to do something different with my images. A little experimentation goes a long way. And when it works, the effects can be striking. I am sure you can guess what I did with these images, so I won't bother explaining. I think the effect is like a Japanese block painting or something like that. Needless to say, it only works with some images and to certain degrees. What do you think?

Wow. A mixture of soft effects and B&W - the second one is particularly appealing with the gentle waves contrasting with a bright foreground.
Well done.

My goodness, these are different - and really nice. I don't know how you think of this stuff, but I'm glad you do.

Excellent shots JMR, both of them are good, but I like the first one!! It would look great on the wall.
