Next in this series, here are some macro shots that I particularly like:

Pollen

Visitor

The way I am (a flower's stem)

Happy ever after (no true macro, but I like it)

The center of things

Star of the show

Violin

Separate ways

Pollen - brilliant. Love the detail, sharpness and colours.
Star of the show - bravo. The complementary colours and textures make this a very appealing shot.
Happily ever after - cool. Good use of colours and lighting to bring out tactile textures.
The centre of things - excellent. Colours and textures combine again so aesthetically.
Well done and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ash. For all shots except the cake, I used the FA 50 macro, sometimes handheld, sometimes on a tripod.

For the cake, I used the Sigma 17-70, plus my AF280T flash bounced on white cloth hung over and behind the table. I'm getting better with reflected light I think.

Thanks for the detailed comments!

Excellent shots, Pollen is particularly fantastic!
Love the colours, detail and also the bokeh.
For me, these images are very effective at evoking feelings too.

Thanks Jason,

the FA50 macro is great for bokeh (as it should). I'm glad I found it and bought it
