Fall colours and wildlife in Canada

Here are a few shots I took in the last week at my country house...

This is a sugar shack on the road to my country house... during peak colours.

K20d, M50 1.7

A lone dying leaf on the edge of the roof, confirming that summer is indeed over...

K20d, Takumar 135 2.8

A fox wandered in my front lawn... was pretty curious sniffing around.

K20d, DA55-300, AF-360

Finally the view from my front porch, the morning before we pulled in the dock and the old boats for winter.

K20d, M50 1.7

Thanks for looking!

Pat

I may steal that picture of the red fox, so I can play a joke on my wife...... She loves red fox and we never see them where I live. The leaves and grass could easly pass as my front yard. I could show her this shot of what she just missed. Oh I will get in so much trouble.

Nice series by the way.

Lots of rich colours here, but the first two are excellent for sure.
Thanks for sharing.

It doesnt really qualify...new chimney, modern lights, glass in windows....but it is a great scene.

Skinja ... Thanks! Go right ahead and take the fox

Parallax ... Thanks! I also like it a lot.

sureshgvv ... Thank you very much!

Ash ... Thanks, it was a pleasure to take those.

vizjerei ... Thank you! He he he, the country house has been in the family since my father was a teen. It's a very precious place.

Mallee Boy ... Thanks! It's also my favorite, though it would be even better without the darn light on the corner and vent below it (they bug me a lot) and that modern chimney. An old rusty steel tube chimney would have looked awesome (but would not have been up to code...). Not much choice for glass in the windows here winter is COLD and bug season (spring-summer) is murder. Windows have had glass in them since colonisation.

dcmsox2004 ... Thanks very much! #1 is indeed a hit, and I have to admit #2 has a little somehting special about it.

Hi Pat,
Would love to see it with some light beams filtering through etc. Its a great shot as it is, but John's comment was that he knows I have a thing for old sheds & houses...but I have strict rules .
I understand about the glass.
Cheers

Beautiful shots, I really think you have done very well.
Love the first shot, and the shot of the Red Fox is great too!
Congratulations on a beautiful set of photos.
