All are beautifully brilliant and detailed.
I'm impressed by the Tamron's sharpness, colour and contrast.
Your fast fifty captures are also excellent.
Even the first 50-200 shot is rendered so well, it's just testimony of how much the operator (and shooting conditions) dictates the quality of results even with the most basic of lenses.
Well done,

Thanks, Ash. I hope my Tammy 70-300 won't be gone for very long, and I really hope Tamron fixes rather than replaces it - it seems to be a sharper than usual copy of the lens. The focus ring broke.

Beautiful shots.
I can imagine my partner would love the horse shots - might have to show her.
Great results from those lenses, thankyou for sharing.

Thanks, Jason. I actually see horses (from a distance) fairly often, but I'm pretty shy about bugging the farm owners for permission to tromp across the pastures...

Love that reflected tree shot... I find it quite surreal. Might work really well in B&W. Great work on all of them! Did you use extension tubes to shoot the spider?

Thank you for the kind words. I'll look into doing a B&W conversion, but I'm not very good at it...

No extension tubes for the spider - I used the Raynox DCR-150 macro adapter on the Tamron 70-300 lens.

Really nice series. That does seem to be a most excellent copy of the Tamron 70-300. Hope it comes back that way. By the way, how big are the paper wasps in your neck of the woods. I don't think the ones here in Maryland can move beer cans, even aluminum ones.

Didn't you know that paper wasps in NJ are the size of pteradactyls?

Sad that someone decided to pollute the natural environment, but at least nature did something productive with it.

WOW

What a great, diverse series of photos;...

These are all about you and less about the lenses or the camera for that matter.

You got some mad skills. (as the kids would say)

Beautiful!
I love them all, except the spiders ... too frightening for me:
when I first saw your orb weaver spider
... I was afraid it should fell on my desk from it's WWW

I hope you'll get back your Tamron soon. It does a great job in your hands.

Heh, you're making me

I wouldn't describe my skillz as "mad", more like "nonplussed" and occasionally "irritated".
