Here's a small selection from gigs I've been shooting during the last few months.

Shot from the pit in a mid-sized club which usually ruins the perspective and makes quite a few shots looking a bit silly to me. Though, only solution to that probably would be a some sort of tower in the middle of the crowd and a proper 70-200 2.8 lens...

The best thing you did was to use the natural lighting of the stage and no flash.The performers were captured well with minimal motion blur.Frozen well!!

@Barnster: I've never seen anyone using flash in the concerts. And I hope I never will.

I really like the drummershot as well, mostly because the face is sharp enough, but there's still the tiny bit of motion blur in the stick to show there's some serious drumming going on... I also managed to sneak to the side of the stage to get closer.

Also, usually the drummers are hardest people to catch as they're behind everyone and everything. Like in the photo below: the same guy, another gig. Just impossible to tell if he's playing drums or cooking...
