I didn't get down into Yosemite Valley the other day, but I plan on heading there later this week - I did find some nice color around Siesta Lake and some nice aspens near Crane Flat...
All shots with the K-7, ISO 200 (highlight protection or whatever that mode is called). All processed to various extents in Lr (I just upgraded to ver. 2 from 1.4, so the processing might have gotten out of hand - all those new tools )...
DA* 300mm, f/4 (distracted by my son, forgot to stop down for landscape after shooting ducks )

Two bracketed frames with the DA* 16-50mm @ 16mm, f/5, blended with Enfuse (HDR).
I paid a lot of attention to the dynamic range of this last shot, since I knew I was going to HDR it. On my monitor, this is a pretty close approximation of what I saw at the time.
These have worked very nicely with vibrant colours and balanced tones.
There's something special about #4 - the eye is just drawn to the central isle of colour and form.
Well done.

Very cool, thanks! - I've never caused a near drowning with my photography before .

Thank you Stefan - You must have bigger walls than me . For me to put up more of my work, I'd have to take down the Ansel Adams posters, and I'm afraid they're better than mine
These are all nice shots but #4 is my favorite, very cool shot.

Thanks guys - glad you like 'em ... #4 sure is getting a lot of support here. Trust me, the scene looked better and more dramatic than the photo represents (I did the best I could ).
You have some wild colours in there, bold and deep. I guess you used the polarizer. No matter, excellent images.

Thanks guys - the colors IRL were quite vibrant, but it's possible that I overdid the PP trying to recapture that from the RAW file... I have used software and my eyes to calibrate my screen, but it's not truly calibrated (by a device), so I never really know what my colors are looking like to the rest of the world . Prints come back pretty true though, so the calibration shouldn't be too far off of what I'm seeing. So, if it's too saturated, it's my fault .
