Food for thought
Posted by spyglass, 10-28-2009, 02:57 AM spyglass is offline

I remember listening to my Grandfather talk about simpler times. When people had an intimate, and connected relationship to the land around them. Nature governed and man adjusted. Our desire to be the master of our own domain has led us to believe that we can control all aspects of our life. As if the universe is a deck of cards that we can shuffle and deal out the hand we choose, oblivious to the anti. Science has given us keys and opened doors to rooms that are beyond our comprehension. I wonder just how far we will go, how far we will continue to manipulate, that which Nature has already perfected and provided. My son wanted a snack to munch on while watching TV. I told him grab an apple. He said that he wanted something better that was made in a store..........

Thanks for looking and letting me post my thoughts,

Thanks for looking and commenting Barnster,

We already have the square seedless watermelon (easy to ship, easy to eat), vegetables that have never seen the sun or touched soil...... maybe a cross between an Ipod and an apple, or a GPS and an pear is not too far off. Don't be too surprised if you find a USB connection in your next bite.

I agree with Ash. Very clever.

Just one question. What happens when Snow White bites into this one?
