Landscape Farm scenes

A late day called for a shoot on the way home.
Sun starting to set on the farms gave some interesting backdrops to the rural scenes.
I'm also intrigued at how well the 55-300 controlled flare:

Hi Ash,
We really are going have to catch up one day....preferably in your back yard ...and you can show me these sights that really do make me feel more than just a little homesick.

The lack of flare is interesting, if I tried that with some of my Sigmas I would have spots everywhere!

It has served me well, a much-maligned lens.
We've had a bevvy of blistering hot days, and I tried to encapsulate that in these scenes.

I'm really taken with the first one - the color and "bulbous" orb of the sun give the shot an otherworldly look that I enjoy.

#1 & 3 are really intense.

What's funny is that #3 makes me think "sunset" and #4 makes me think "sunrise".
